Ever see a movie advertised and wonder if it’s worth a watch or just another flop? What if I told you all the information you needed to make that decision was in the trailer itself?
Welcome to Based on the Trailer, the segment of the blog in which I take a look at a trailer for an upcoming film. Together, we’ll take a look at the people involved in making the movie, and then we’ll dive into the trailer itself. Just for fun, we’ll find all the bits that don’t make sense and laugh at them, and then we’ll pull back and see whether the trailer has done its job well and gotten us interested in the movie. I’ll give my best recommendation for whether or not you should go see the film, and I’ll let you know whether I’ll be joining you.
You may not be able to judge a book by its cover, but you should always be able to judge a movie by its trailer. Court is in session, and the movie will rise or fall based on the trailer.
